Chappy Birthday dear Chaps Choir

Chappy Birthday dear Chaps Choir

Exactly 1 month ago we welcomed 450 people into Shoreditch church to celebrate Chaps Choir’s 1st birthday. With the audience’s support and generosity we raised £2,263 for The Choir With No Name and C.A.L.M. whilst celebrating a year of firsts as the choir grew from the ground up.

We were lucky to have the incredibly superb Samantha Whates support us and our own chap and MC extraordinaire Robin Clyfan run our charity raffle. Robin also played auctioneer as we auctioned ourselves off to sing for the highest bidder. We’ll be putting our braces back on soon for Elliott Jack (from Bookslam) who was the winner at £400. (I’ll send through our rider requirements soon Elliott).

Our trusty media guru chap Chris Baker put together a storify here so you can re-live the evening: https://storify.com/chrisinculture/chaps-choir-1st-birthday-with-samantha-whates

….and you’ll find some pictures of the night here: http://chapschoir.wordpress.com/#jp-carousel-340

A huge thank you to everyone who made it down to support us. Keep an eye on our Facebook group and twitter feed for future events.
